Arizona Bike Week is a rider’s dream. Our great spring weather and some of the most scenic terrain in the US, combine to make for some incredible riding. Travel from the majestic beauty of the Sonoran desert, to our cool, pine blanketed mountain regions, in just a couple of hours. There’s something for everyone. Let ABW be your home-base as you explore all the beauty of Arizona. We encourage our attendees to ride and explore. We’ve put together a small sampling of some of our favorite routes to give you a taste of what Arizona Bike Week has to offer. We’ve even inserted some of the best watering holes and grub stops along the way in red.

Rough Rider Loop Roosevelt Dam High Pine Run Salt River Canyon

Rough Rider Loop

Ride the territory that Teddy Roosevelt and his “Rough Riders” made famous - 348 miles.

From WestWorld take 101 North to Interstate 17 North. At State Route 74 head West to State Route 93 to Wickenburg (Rancho Bar 7). At State Route 89 head Northeast through Prescott - home of the historical (Whiskey Row). At Alternate State Route 89, ride to the historic mining town of Jerome (Spirit Room) and on to the red rocks of Sedona. In Sedona take State Route 179 South to Interstate 17 South. Head East at State Route 260. Ride to State Route 87 South through Payson (Buffalo Bar and Grill). At Shea Road head West to Loop 101 North, exit at Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. and return to ABW.

Roosevelt Dam

Short desert ride - 235 Miles.

From WestWord take 101 South to US 60 East. In Superior - (Los Hermanos) or (Buckboard City Cafe). Between Miami and Globe take State Route 188 North (Jake’s Corner) to State Route 87 South. Finally take Shea Road to 101 North to Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. to return to ABW.

High Pine Run

A little desert, and some pine covered mountains - 250 miles.

From WestWorld take 101 South to Shea Road east, Take State Route 87 North past Payson (Buffalo Bar and Grill) into the mountains. Through Pine, (Old County Inn) Strawberry (Sportsman’s Chalet) and take State Route 260 West to Camp Verde. Interstate 17 South (Rock Springs Cafe). Finally take Loop 101 East then exit at Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd and return to ABW.

Salt River Canyon

Longer desert ride with some high mountains - 367 miles.

From WestWorld take 101 South to US 60 East, past Globe (Drift Inn), where the fun begins. At Show Low take State Route 260 West. In Overgaard - (Cabin Bar & Grill) to Payson and State Route 87 South. Finally take Shea Road to 101 North to Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. to return to ABW.
